Senator Josh Hawley of Missouri’s bill to declassify intelligence information about the origins of COVID-19 just passed. Several government agencies have released intelligence estimates stating Covid was caused by a lab leak in Wuhan, China.
This is important because we do not know what sort of information Anthony Fauci and the CDC had about the origins of Covid, if they listened to the intelligence experts, or if anything was covered up. No matter what the outcome is, this is a great day for medical freedom. The Republican majority is promoting openness and transparency in public health. There is very little about public health that the government should be withholding, so this is a great step to ensure the mistakes of Covid are never repeated.
You may also find it interesting to learn that the bill passed unanimously. That means the Democrats could have released this information sooner, but deliberately chose not to, even though they knew better.
