Rael – Organic & Natural Feminine Care Products

This is a new company on the scene, founded in 2016 and launched Rael in 2017, that is owned by 3 women that are looking to educate us about the importance of the choices we make in our feminine care products and to realize why we need to change what companies we support for the benefit of our own health and that of the planet, as well.

Many people don’t know that cotton is one of the most pesticide-laden crops and is in the top 3, between coffee and tobacco. The fact that this would come in contact with some of the most sensitive and absorptive area of a woman’s body that it can cause so much harm, is reason enough to immediately throw away all your conventional pads, pantyliners and tampons, as well as undergarments and switch to using only 100% organic products. What we can do to prevent damage, there is no excuse to not take precautions for them. If you choose to spend your money on material possessions, and then tell me you have none for products that promote health, then maybe it is time to re-evaluate your choices and ask yourself what really matters to you and it’s time to cut back on those purchases and spend wisely. Whereas, other conditions are out of our control, like who are parents are, where we were born, what our mother ate when she was pregnant, etc. The issue is that when you use toxic products, they are cumulative and will take time to cause problems in our bodies, physically and otherwise. The sooner we can take steps to change this, the better to our overall health. As time goes along in years of our lives, it may get more difficult to undo what was done, so prevention is really the best way to help yourself in the long haul.

It is time we all know the real truth about what is used to make feminine care products, aside for the toxic cotton that already mentioned. In pads, they use things like styrene (used in car tires), acetone (used in nail polish remover), etc. Do you want these ingredients touching the skin around your private area? Let’s not forget about tampons, feminine wash & wipes, as well. Please do check out this website: http://www.womensvoices.org/feminine-care-products/detox-the-box as this information is so important for every woman to know and to use our voices to speak out against these businesses that are making these products and give full disclosure on the ingredients, so we can choose what we purchase.

Rael, has many feminine care products and I am reviewing a few them here.

Rael Pantyliners – Long

These are made with 100% organic cotton cover and it is important to have what is closest to your skin and especially in a private/sensitive area to be free of toxins, fragrances, dyes, chlorine and pesticides because it will get absorbed into the body. Thankfully, this product is free of all of the above and is hypoallergenic and ideal for those with sensitive skin, as they will not irratate you, as when you ones made with commercial cotton.

I like the longer ones that are 6.8 inches long because it covers more surface area and keeps you fresh all day long and I like to use them on a daily basis between my menstrual cycle. They are soft, breathable and comfortable. They also have the regular size, which is 6 inches long. They come 18 per pack.

Rael Ultra Thin Pads – Regular

This are also made with 100% organic cotton cover and all that is mentioned above applies to these, as well. The regular are 9.6 inches long. They have 2 other sizes: large – 11 inches long and overnight 13 inches long. It depends what you need, in the days/nights of your cycle and also the stage of your life you are in. At this time in my life, I do not have as heavy flow as I used to and not for many days, so the regular one works for me. They are made of 3 absorbent layers and can rely on them even for your heaviest flow. They come 14 per pack.

Rael 100% Organic Cotton Period Panties

Even though the pads will allow you to feel secure in the fact that they are reliable even for your heavy flow days, you may want to consider these specially made panties, designed specifically for your cycle. Use these for an extra layer of protection as they are thicker in the area where you would apply your pad. They are made with the same high standards as the pads and pantiliners. No dyes, no bleach, no insecticides, no fungicides, no pesticides and all natural colors. The cotton is ultra soft and comfortable. They have the Global Organic Textile Standard (also known by its acronym GOTS) for certified cotton, which is of the highest out there in the textile industry. They come in a 3 pack resealable pouch.

It is great to be worry free and I am happy that there are more choices out there of companies, like Rael, that are doing it right to protect our health and also help to heal the planet, too. As the more we are using organic products that are grown organically, like cotton, we are rejuvenating and revitalizing the earth and making it a healthier, happier and more sustainable place for all of us to live in, for this generation and all future generations.
